The Norwegian Skating Association

ullevaal2.jpg (7031 bytes)The Norwegian Skating Association (NSF) was founded 27. February 1893, and administrates speed skating, figure skating and short track speed skating on ice in Norway. In addition "inline skating" or roller skating has just been "adopted" by the association..

NSA has about 7.000 members – approximatly 1.400 is more than 10 years and have a license, which means that they participate in national and/or international competitions. NSA is a member of The Norwegian Federation of Sports and Olympic Komitee, International Skating Union (ISU) and Federation International de Roller Skating (FIRS)

"Skøytetinget", which is helt every other year, is the "governing body". "Skøytetinget" is passing the laws of the NSA and elects the bord. The NSA-administration handles the daily work, and is situated in brand new facilities at Ullevaal Stadium in Oslo, where most of the norwegian sports federations are situated.

NSA publishes a magazine – Skøytesport – which is distributed to all skaters with license, all volunteers, all clubs and regional skatingassociations and ordinary subscribers.
